Shane Kasprick, P. Eng.
Shane brings over 25 years of experience in the construction industry, beginning his career as a Red Seal carpenter before becoming a construction and structural engineer. His hands-on background gives him a unique and practical perspective on building design, code compliance, and construction challenges. Shane specializes in the structural design of wood, concrete, and steel buildings, integrating code compliance from the outset and developing innovative, practical solutions that ensure safety, durability, and long-term performance. He has also designed and built custom homes, combining engineering expertise with real-world construction knowledge. Whether you're planning a new build or need help with a structural concern, Shane is the expert you want on your project.
Carmen Kasprick
Carmen is the Office Manager and co-owner of KaNi Engineering, ensuring everything runs seamlessly behind the scenes. With a diverse background that includes the office manager of a real estate appraisal firm and serving as a policy advisor in government, she brings a broad and valuable skill set to the team. Carmen is often your first point of contact at KaNi—ready to assist with questions, provide quotes, or help you book our services. When she's not keeping things organized at the office, she’s out discovering everything Nova Scotia has to offer.
